Introduction

Sytchampton Endowed Primary School is a small rural school.

We pride ourselves on having a family spirit with an ethos of caring and being cared for. Our staff are enthusiastic and dedicated which makes Sytchampton the welcoming, purposeful and successful school it is. Children are encouraged to try their best, learn from their mistakes and develop a growth mind-set.

The school is situated on the main Kidderminster-Worcester Road and draws from a wide catchment area, including Dunhampton, Lineholt, Doverdale, and Acton. Many parents from outside our own catchment area choose to send their children to the school and the school is accessed from a secure car park attached to the community centre.

Our geographical position straddles the two tier Stourport and Worcester pyramids and the three tier Droitwich Pyramid.

The school has around 100 children on roll aged 4 to 11 years old. Children join us in their Reception year and move on at the end of Year 6. Our nominated secondary feeder school is Stourport High School and links are now established to help with this important transition.   We also have close links and strong relations with a number of other secondary settings in Droitwich and Worcestershire.

We have close links with local Preschool providers and also run our own wrap around service with breakfast and after school care on site.

The school has the advantage of a spacious environment with extensive grounds including a large playground, adventure playground, growing plots, an environmental area, story circle and large field. The school has five classrooms, and a hall which is used for dance, music, gymnastics, games, assemblies and school lunches, as well as by our wrap around care team.

Sytchampton belongs to the Lloyd's Educational Foundation (a charitable trust) which means that the building and grounds are owned by The Lloyds Educational Foundation and is therefore classed as a voluntary aided school. Lloyds Foundation provide Governors and our Governing Body offers a broad skillset.
