School Dinners

Our School Meals are provided by Red Hen Cookery, a family run business that has been operating for over 10 years from their base in Worcester. Their primary focus is to deliver healthy and nutritious meals that are specifically created for children, taking careful consideration of their dietary needs and preferences. Menus reflect a balance of nutritious ingredients brought together in dishes that children will enjoy on a three-week menu rotation which is typically refreshed every half term.

They make as much of the food themselves as they can. For example, all cakes and sauces are freshly made so there are no additives or preservatives and there are plenty of extra hidden vegetables in the sauces.

Our lunches cost £2.41 per child per day and must be ordered via Red Hen in advance through their website (see details below). Children in receipt of means tested Free School Meals and those in years Recep/Y1/Y2 will receive a free meal every day but these must still be ordered in advance by parents/carers.

For any specific questions do feel free to get in touch with the Red Hen office team at info@redhencookery.co.uk

Alternatively, you can provide a packed lunch and drink for your child. Packed lunches are the responsibility of parents however we encourage a healthy choice there too. Fresh food is always better than processed, fruit rather than chocolate and just one or two treat foods! We ask parents to work with us to make lunch boxes as healthy as possible.

Current Dinner Menu

Our school dinner menus follows a three-week cycle. You can read the current menus below:
Drink to Think!
We encourage all children to have their own water bottle in school for drinking throughout the day.

Morning Break
All Key Stage 1 children receive a piece of fresh fruit daily, provided by the National Fruit for Schools Scheme.

We would like all children to eat fruit as part of our Healthy Schools initiative. The fruit can be fresh or dried. We include healthy cereal bars in this category.
